SPROCKETT are a group of musicians, set up in 2006 to write country songs and will sell the copyright or issue licences on all our songs, for established and up-and-coming country bands or artists to buy and/or perform. We use the HOTDISC media to advertise our work.
MEMBERS PROFILE:
MIKE COCKETT: Composer and lyricist, occasional vocals and instrument player. Proprietor of the MILINE ELAN label.
DAVE GRIFFITHS: Vocals and musician, plays a variety of instruments and is responsible for engineering using Yamaha 24-track equipment.
Session musicians are also used as and when appropriate.
[May 2008] We are pleased to welcome LORRAINE LEWIS as our resident singer and she has now completed three numbers [Looking Back with] HEARTS FULL OF PRIDE": "LOVE IS" (released on Hotdisc 1/7/2008, entered the Hotdisc Top 40 on 24/7/2008); "KEEP THAT LOVE-LIGHT SHINING" with many more in the pipe-line.

"LOVE EVERY TIME" and "LOOKIN' FOR SOME LOVIN' TONIGHT" are two recently written songs being recorded by Lorraine during July 2008, and she intends recording an *album of 12 original country songs penned by Mike and Dave. Her first album, as an EP-CD, consisting of her first 4 tracks, backed and produced by Sprockett is much sought after locally. We are currently working lots of original songs "STRANGER IN TOWN" etc. etc., and we are currently recording a brand new country rock song about New Orleans and the House of the Rising Sun. Work started this week (21/7/08)
